Dream Big.
I’m a visionary, creative thinker, and river runner at heart. I love manual labor, and also get $h*t done. I believe that everyone has a story worth telling and that there is endless connection to be had through experiences in wild places, and that just the right amount of risk allows us to grow.
Creative Design.
I specialize in teaching environmental, outdoor, humanities, and art education. When designing curriculums, my goal is to create engaging, holistic and multicultural learning content that ignites the mind, body and soul. My photojournalism and multimedia background assists in creativity and storytelling aspects of experiential education.
Equitable Education.
Equitable and inclusive education is critical to the success of humanity and the future of the environment. The Confluent Collective was created in that mindset and aims to facilitate building relationships between people, cultures, and backgrounds. I prioritize including all voices in communications and curriculum design, and believe that we can all learn from each other and our stories.
Learning Together.
I’m a lifelong learner, and feel that learning from each other, together, and sharing knowledge is a way towards peace, understanding and compassion in the world. I believe I can help make the world better by sharing my love of rivers, wild places and cultures, and that I can help educate people about the threats facing the environment.
Take Action.
Once people can have a meaningful connection to their environment, they may be more able and willing to take action to protect it, to be stewards of the places we love in a world today that needs us more than ever to fight for it. I hope people feel empowered to advocate with our shared knowledge and abilities, because every voice truly matters. I believe in the power of grassroots environmentalism.
